When the police officer wanted to see what the cause of this was, he saw that the man was driving the truck with a phone in his hand. He pulled the driver over and ticketed him. Then the police officer checked the freight papers.

When the officer also looked in the cargo area of ​​the truck, he found several bags containing the illegal drug ketamine. The driver of the truck, a 26-year-old, was arrested for drug possession. The ketamine and the truck were confiscated. The suspect spent a night in jail. He was questioned on Saturday, the police announced in a message today.

The Healthcare and Youth Inspectorate (IGJ) of the Ministry of Health is also involved in this case. Ketamine is originally a medicine that can be used as a painkiller and as an anesthetic during operations. It may therefore not be traded unregistered, for example as a recreational party drug. The suspect may therefore also be sentenced by the inspectorate.
