Gouda – On Sunday 30 June at around 17:30, a street robbery of a fatbike took place on the Middenmolenplein, at the intersection with the Getijmolenerf. After this street robbery, two suspects fled. At the Voorwillenseweg, a vehicle and a fatbike eventually ended up in the water and multiple people were involved. The police are continuing their investigation and are looking for witnesses.
Street robbery
At Middenmolenplein, a street robbery took place around 17:30, in which two suspects robbed the driver of his fatbike. During this robbery, the suspects used violence, which injured the driver of the fatbike. The two suspects then drove off on the fatbike in the direction of Voorwillenseweg.
Vehicle in water
Eventually, two people followed the suspects towards the Voorwillenseweg. On this road, the fatbike collided with the two suspects. In addition, a car also ended up partially in the water. On the spot, officers arrested three people, a 20-year-old man from Moordrecht, a 19-year-old man from Nieuwerkerk aan den Ijssel and an 18-year-old man from Gouda. One of the arrested suspects was transported to the hospital.
