Verstappen and Red Bull enter into a new partnership with gaming company EA Sports

Max Verstappen has signed a new deal with gaming company EA Sports. In recent years, the reigning world champion has often collaborated with the American company that is responsible for Formula 1 games, among other things. Verstappen’s employer, Red Bull Racing, has also entered into a partnership with EA Sports.

Verstappen, who is an avid fan of sim racing and regularly participates in virtual events, is, together with his Red Bull team, the ideal poster child for EA Sports. The official press release states that the choice for the Austrian racing team was a conscious one. According to the report, Red Bull attracts more young fans than any Formula 1 team.

The new collaboration means that Verstappen will again wear the logo of the American gaming company on his helmet in 2024. In addition, the three-time world champion will also appear in the paddock a number of times with a helmet design based on the Formula 1 game. Verstappen will also appear on the cover of F1 24 Champions Edition, available from May 28.

Horner wants to take F1 gaming to the next level

Red Bull team boss Christian Horner is very happy with the collaboration and states that the gaming industry has become increasingly important. “From F1 to football and from NFL to hockey, EA is synonymous with sports and entertainment and we are excited to bring them on board as a team partner,” Horner said in the press release. “F1 is experiencing tremendous growth and appealing to new, young and diverse audiences around the world, and for many of those fans, gaming is central to the way they interact with racing and with Red Bull.”

‘EA Sports has proven its ability to create truly compelling F1 games that take fans to the heart of what we do, allowing them to race like a hero like Max (Ed.) or embark on their own legendary careers. We are excited to be part of that story and together with EA and Max we look forward to taking F1 gaming to the next level with F1 24,” said Horner.
