An arrest team arrested a man in Vlaardingen on Wednesday evening on suspicion of involvement in a shooting incident last year in Rotterdam. The arrest took place in an apartment.

Arrested
The police report that an arrest team has arrested a 34-year-old man in Vlaardingen. He is suspected of involvement in a shooting incident on Sunday, June 25 last year, on the Middenbaan Noord in Rotterdam, Hoogvliet.
Shot at
A 38-year-old man was shot in that incident. He was slightly injured. Just after 3:30 am, an altercation broke out between the man and a group of young men. One of them shot the man of no fixed abode shortly afterwards. He was slightly injured and was able to leave the hospital after treatment.
Local media reported last year that it was an employee of a diner who was harassed by young people hanging around.
Raid
The person now arrested was arrested on Wednesday evening around 8:20 pm in an apartment on Doctor Wiardi Beckmansingel in Vlaardingen. After the raid, the detectives carried out a trace investigation in the house where the suspect was arrested.
