Borussia Dortmund is about to submit an opening bid to Ajax for Edson Álvarez, the German branch of Sky reports. Those Schwarzgelben want to press ahead, while the Amsterdammers are in little hurry to sell the Mexican inspector.

Álvarez is approaching a personal deal with Dortmund. The 25-year-old midfielder can sign a contract until the summer of 2028 with the number two of the last Bundesliga season.
