Woman died in a traffic accident in Haarlem

Haarlem – The police received a report of a serious accident at Marsmanplein on Tuesday 14 February around 1.40 pm. A pedestrian was hit by a truck. The victim, an 85-year-old woman from Haarlem, died in hospital from her injuries. The police are investigating the cause of the traffic accident.

When the woman wanted to cross the road, she collided with the truck. Emergency services rushed to the scene and the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The truck driver was arrested according to procedure. He has been interrogated, has since been released and is part of the investigation.
