A 46-year-old man was injured in a shooting in a house on the Maria Daneelserf in Capelle aan den IJssel on Saturday night just before 4.30 am. A 43-year-old woman who was also present in the home has been arrested as a suspect.
The victim himself called 911 after being shot. He was rushed to hospital. Four children were present in the home at the time of the shooting incident. Care and shelter are arranged for them.
The police are further investigating the incident. The Forensic Investigation is investigating in and around the home. Neighborhood inquiries are also being conducted and any witnesses are being spoken to. The cause is still unclear.
