Amsterdam – On Wednesday, March 22, an unknown man robbed a shop on Derkinderenstraat in Nieuw-West. After he assaulted an employee, he left with unknown loot. The police are looking for witnesses.

The suspect entered the store around 1:15 p.m. The man walked to the counter and indicated that he was coming to pick up a coat. Out of nowhere, the man stood behind the counter and next to the employee. After he assaulted the shocked employee, he grabbed the cash register. He then left running in the direction of Anton Waldorpstraat.

The following description of the suspect is known:

– Man
– Dark skin color
– 18 to 20 years old
– 1.80 meters tall
– Medium length black curly hair
– Green jacket to the knee
– Green/grey training pants
– Spoke with an accent similar to a Surinamese accent
