Easterein – The police are investigating an explosion at a house on Eeskwert in Easterein, which took place around 5:15 am on Thursday, April 11. After the explosion, a fire broke out in the house. One person was slightly injured and the house suffered significant damage. Shortly after the explosion in the Easterein area, the police arrested a 17-year-old boy from Rotterdam on suspicion of possible involvement.
We immediately started an investigation into the circumstances of the explosion. For example, Forensic Investigation will conduct trace investigations. We are also looking for possible witnesses and local residents who may have camera images showing something suspicious. We are going to do a neighborhood survey today. We also check whether there are camera images that we can secure. We also hope that there are local residents who can tell us more about the explosion.
