Amsterdam – A house on Sijsjesstraat was shot at during the night of Friday 5 to Saturday 6 April 2024. The police started an investigation on the spot and are looking for witnesses. Yesterday the same house was also the target of an explosion and an attempted shooting. The investigation takes the case seriously.

Just before 2:30 am, local residents were startled by (several) shots at the front of the house and the police were called. As a precaution, the police cordoned off the area around the house. Experts from the Forensic Investigation carried out trace investigations at the building. Officers found a number of shell casings at the home. Because the residents were housed elsewhere after yesterday’s attempted shelling and explosion, no one was injured. Unfortunately, an extensive search of the area did not result in any arrests.
