Witnesses wanted after driving into officer

Pijnacker – During an alcohol check on the Noordweg in Pijnacker, a man drove into an officer on Saturday evening, February 18. The driver then took off. The incident is being investigated and police are keen to speak to witnesses.

Agents held an alcohol check on Saturday evening from 8 p.m. in a parking lot on Noordweg. At around 9:05 p.m., one of the officers, who was standing on the roundabout at Noordweg, Sportlaan and Nobellaan, asked a driver to drive towards the parking lot to be checked.

The driver ignored this instruction and drove at a considerable speed from the Noordweg to the Nobellaan. One of the officers had to jump aside to avoid being hit.


Despite a search of the area, the driver could not be apprehended. It concerns a dark-skinned man who wore a hat and an earring. He drove a white Renault Zoe with the text ‘MyWheels’ in green letters on the side.
