Witnesses wanted after another incident with explosive in Geuzenveld

Amsterdam – The police are looking for witnesses to the explosion of an explosive in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the front door of a house on Doctor H. Colijnstraat. Although no injuries were reported, there was significant damage in and around the home. The detective is investigating the background of the case and would like to speak to witnesses or people who have more information.

The residents and local residents heard a loud bang around 3 a.m. and called the police. Due to the loud bang, the kitchen window was broken and a fire raged in the front garden of the house adjacent to the Jacob de Rijkhof. Police cordoned off the area. Forensic Investigation (FO) specialists have conducted trace investigations.

Third time
Last night’s incident is the third in a short time on Doctor H. Colijnstraat. The night before there was also an explosion on the sidewalk near the same house. Two parked vehicles were damaged as a result. Elsewhere in the street, the front door of a house on the third floor of an apartment building was set on fire at around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, February 6.
