Amsterdam – The police have launched an investigation after a collision on Wednesday evening, June 7, 2023 at the intersection of Eerste Constantijn Huygensstraat and Bosboom Toussaintstraat in Amsterdam. A 27-year-old woman was seriously injured in the collision.

The collision occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. between a passenger car and a woman on a bicycle. During the collision, the woman fell off her bicycle and ended up under the car. About ten bystanders lifted the vehicle to free the woman. Shortly afterwards, the victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the passenger car was unharmed. A statement was taken from him. The intersection was closed to all traffic for some time.
