Witness call for attempted home invasion Kaapseplein

The Hague – Two men tried to rob a house on Kaapseplein on Monday morning, March 4. They fled without loot. The police are investigating the incident and looking for witnesses.

Around 9:00 am the police received a report of a robbery. At the scene it turned out that two men had tried to enter a house in the street. A bystander who witnessed the home invasion was threatened with a stabbing weapon. When the robbery failed, they fled in different directions without loot. No one was injured in the attempted home invasion.

Signaling

A suspect ran in the direction of the Hoefkade towards the gas station. The other suspect ran away across Kaapstraat towards the Juliana Church. A brief description is known of one of the men. He looked to be around 40-50 years old, about 6 feet tall, wrinkled face with a beard, dressed in black. The police are still looking for them.
