Maastricht – The police have started an investigation into an open act of violence on Friday, February 10 around 01:30 am on the Brusselsestraat. She is looking for witnesses to the incident in which a 19-year-old cyclist from Maastricht was kicked and beaten by three men.
The man cycled across Brusselsestraat in the direction of Emmaplein. Near the Roundabout café, a black Volkswagen Golf stopped right next to him. The four occupants got out and pushed the victim off the bicycle so that he fell. He was then kicked and punched by three occupants while lying on the ground. A short time later, the Golf drove away in the direction of Emmaplein. The victim received medical treatment.
For its investigation, the police would like to get in touch with a man with a dog who passed by on Brusselsestraat at this time. He came from Emmaplein and then walked into Sint Nicolaasstraat.
