Winfried Baijens new presenter With an Eye on Tomorrow

Winfried Baijens will present the NOS radio program Met het Oog op Morgen. The NOS announced this on Friday. The 46-year-old presenter will alternately present the Wednesday edition with Rob Trip.

Baijens succeeds Herman van der Zandt, who left NOS in October last year. He now works at KRO-NCRV. According to the NOS, Baijens is expected to be heard for the first time in Met het Oog op Morgen on NPO Radio 1 at the end of next month.

“Call me a nerd, but I have been listening to the Eye almost all my life,” says Baijens. “As a child I tried to stay awake as long as possible after bedtime by secretly listening to the radio. So the bond with the program is very close for me. It feels quite hallucinatory that I can now get behind the microphone myself.”

Giselle van Cann, editor-in-chief of NOS News, calls Baijens “not only versatile, but also genuinely curious, courteous and at the same time persistent in his way of asking questions. That makes Winfried an asset to late-night radio and to the Oog presenting team.”
