Jetro Willems made his debut for FC Groningen on Saturday and is happy to be back in the Eredivisie. However, the left back does not yet know when ninety minutes are scheduled.
Willems was brought in after about half an hour of play. “We have three points and they are important. After so many years back in the Eredivisie, that is different. I already said it on the bench: all those songs from the supporters. It is nice to just talk Dutch again at the club” Willems tells ESPN.
“I feel good and I’m fit. I’m happy to be back and I certainly missed it. It makes me feel good when you are received like this. Not only by the supporters, but it’s a unity.”
“Being fit is different from match fit, you have to make more minutes for that. I hope to be able to play more than a half soon. When? It’s hard to say. I try to make as many minutes as possible as soon as possible.”
