GTST star Ferri Somogyi, who recently became a wedding official, makes a shocking revelation about why he is not allowed to audition for films and series in the Netherlands.
In the program Bij Andy Thuis, the online series by Andy van der Meijde, Ferri looks back on a moment in his career when he confronted Job Gosschalk about undesirable behavior.
The casting director was a friend of Ferri, but was discredited at the end of 2017 following the #MeToo movement. “I was once sitting in a cinema watching a premiere of myself,” says Ferri. “I lay naked on Kim van Kooten and he sat next to me. He is of gentlemen’s love and put his hand on my leg. Then I shouted across the cinema hall: ‘Job, don’t touch my leg!’”
And that moment had major consequences, according to Ferri: “I have never gotten a role since,” he continues. “I don’t think I have had an audition in fifteen years. There are actors who are just as good or worse than me, and they just take all those roles. I never did anything else again. I don’t even get roles in the Netherlands anymore.”
