Who was involved in the liquidation of Kayvan Pishbin?

The liquidation of a German drug criminal seems to have been carried out in connection with a large drug debt. Who exactly was involved, and especially what their role was in this, is not entirely clear.

Deal

It concerns the liquidation of 29-year-old Kayvan Pishbin. He regularly did business with a Heerlen criminal group, of which Achraf S. is the leader. That was about cocaine, the police think. Pishbin and Achraf F. made a deal about two kilos of coke, after which Pishbin only paid part of it. His supplier then comes after him. This writes the newspaper De Limburger.

Lured

On May 2, 2021, the Iranian living in Aachen, Germany, has a drug transaction at Breda. Afterwards he has a collision with a car ambulance, near Hoensbroek. There would have been three men from Achraf’s group, who lured him away from the A-76 highway in this way on the way back. Previously, a GPS tracker was installed under his car.

Then a white Volkswagen approaches, from which a shot is fired moments later. Kayvan Pishbin is fatally hit. Just before that, he would have filmed his pursuers.

Arrests

A month after the shooting, four Heerlen people in their twenties were arrested, De Limburger writes. It concerns the brothers Karim (28) and Noureddine A. (24), Kamal T. (28) and Mohammed A. (24). The first three are placed in the car ambulance by the police, the latter has rented the white Volkswagen. But not long after, they are released again. The judge finds that there is too little evidence for their involvement.

On appeal

The investigation will resume at the end of 2022 and there will be more arrests. In Maasmechelen, Achraf, who had returned from Spain, and his brother Soheil S. (25) are arrested. According to the prosecutor, Soheil was also in the white Gulf at the time of the shooting. Judges see too little evidence for this and let him go. Justice has appealed against that decision, lawyer Haroon Raza confirms.

Murder weapon

Nour D. (30), Bilal L. (24) and Younes T. (21) are also included. The latter is a brother-in-law of Achraf and was said to be in the white Gulf with him at the time of the shooting. Bilal is suspected of possessing the murder weapon, although it is unclear whether he supplied the weapon or disposed of it.

Justice suspects that Nour observed the victim before he was shot. Only these three men and main suspect Achraf S. are still in custody. The most recent arrest in this case is that of Aymen G. (37). He was released after three days, according to De Limburger.
