Party

The shooting took place on October 16, 2022, on the street in Amsterdam South-East, just after 4:30 a.m. on Lemelerbergweg. There was a party going on in the area at that time, so many people were outside.

Around 6:00 a.m., the police received a report of an argument, which was also reported to have been shot. When one of the attendees of the party wanted to take the car to leave, it turned out that the vehicle had been hit by two bullets. One through the window and one in the door. Bullet casings were also found in the car. A window on the first floor of another business building was also hit by a bullet. According to the city broadcaster AT5.

Shots

The police suspect that there was targeted shooting that night between several people, back and forth, using an automatic weapon. She has a video clip in her hands, on which the shots can be heard clearly. The video was taken near the incident.

Three quick shots can be heard on the video, followed by a burst of five. You can also see how several people hide behind parked cars to bring themselves to safety. The police speak of a ‘life-threatening situation’.

Nicknames

Two nicknames have now emerged from the police investigation, she reports on Thursday. Those are the names ‘Ella’ and ‘Aika’. Police wonder if these names are related to the shooting. She is still looking for witnesses and any CCTV footage of the incident. The police say they are “extensively working on the case.”
