Your position
As a webmaster you play a crucial role in improving our digital services and websites. You are the connecting link between communication, ICT, external suppliers and contribute to the optimization of our web-related systems and applications.

The work is varied because, in addition to functional management, it also involves testing for digital accessibility, communication, web editing and image management.

Your tasks

• Manage and maintain our websites, web-related systems and applications, including our chatbot.
• Maintaining contacts with all suppliers of web-related products. Proactive monitoring of outstanding issues and changes.
• Coordinating the implementation of new functionalities and applications.
• Careful compliance with laws and regulations and testing of websites with regard to digital accessibility.
• Creating and coordinating new websites, in terms of content, structure, design and digital accessibility. Maintaining contacts and participating in consultations with the Dimpact association (further development, issues, management and new releases are discussed there, among other things)
• You play an important role in converting PDF forms to E-forms.
• Part of the work involves web editing. You do this together with your 2 fellow web editors.

Your profile

• You have already gained experience as a webmaster. Preferably within a government organization. Or you are a web editor and have the ambition to become more involved with the technical aspects of website management.
• You have training(s) in digital accessibility and web technology or you are willing to follow this.
• You have an HBO working and thinking level.
• You know the rules surrounding digital accessibility and what that means for a website and the content placed on it.
• You have experience with (various) CMS systems (such as Drupal).
• You are creative, solution-oriented and have persuasiveness. You are an enthusiastic colleague with a sense of humor, you have a quick pen, you work proactively and you are a go-getter.

Your team
You are part of the Online Team, part of Communication and Collaboration, which consists of the Web Team and Media Team. The lines with Communication and Customer Contact Center (KCC) are short, because several colleagues work in different roles within this team. Together with colleagues you will work on a contemporary and visible website for the Municipality of Velsen (velsen.nl), where the visitor is central. An accessible website for all residents of Velsen is important.

You will work within an enthusiastic, collegial and driven team. Just like the organization, this Online Team is also in full development. The team is working on a new, contemporary strategy. We ensure visibility and connection (both internally and externally). The organization is informal and accessible. The team is part of a larger ‘Advice and Strategy’ team within the Public and Administration domain. The mission of this domain is to work with the people of Velsen in our heads and hearts.

The salary depends on education and experience and amounts to a maximum of €5,247 gross per month for a 36-hour working week (scale 10). You will also receive an individual choice budget (IKB) of 17.05% of your salary.
