The Royal Military Police arrested two men during a raid on a house on the Karveel in Hoorn on Tuesday morning around 6 a.m. who are suspected of trafficking in and possessing weapons, ammunition and explosives.

The Marechaussee investigation team tracked down the men based on information from an earlier investigation.
In addition to today’s arrests, searches also took place in the suspects’ home in Hoorn and at two other locations in the Hoorn area. During these searches, various goods were seized, including firearms, ammunition, stabbing weapons, heavy fireworks and data carriers.
The Royal Military Police and the Defense Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service are investigating.
