The central polling stations hold sessions throughout the day in, for example, water board offices, town halls or provincial houses. After those sessions, the results will be published.

The preliminary results show that the BBB has become the largest party in every province. As a result, the BBB is also expected to gain a powerful position in the Senate. The government parties VVD, D66, CDA and ChristenUnie have to give up quite a few seats together. In most water boards, the BBB will be the largest party.
