During an inspection on Tuesday, Customs intercepted a shipment of approximately cocaine in the port of Vlissingen. According to Customs, a total of 400 pressed blocks were found.
The drugs were hidden in a container with a load of bananas from Ecuador. The bananas were intended for a company in Germany, which probably has nothing to do with the smuggling, according to Customs.
Customs estimates the street value of the 400 kilos at approximately 30 million euros. The shipment has now been collected and destroyed by Customs’ Special Assistance Team.
