Underage suspect arrested again for fatal shooting in Amsterdam

The police reported on Tuesday that a suspect was arrested on Monday for the deadly shooting in Amsterdam Southeast on December 23. The suspect is a 16-year-old boy from Dordrecht, who had been released earlier for this fact. The shooting incident killed 17-year-old Roffinho van Suijdam (photo). Two juvenile suspects have now been arrested in the case.

On December 26, the then 15-year-old boy from Dordrecht was arrested for the first time. He had reported himself to a police station. Then he was released after questioning. According to the police, new information has now led to his arrest. On December 25, a 16-year-old suspect from Amsterdam was arrested.

The shooting took place at the Haardstee in Amsterdam Southeast on Friday evening, December 23. Threats in the drillrap scene may have preceded it.

Died on the spot

That evening, around 10:30 p.m., the police received a report that shots had been fired at the Haardstee. The victim was injured so badly that he died on the spot.

The first two suspects arrested were the victim’s brother and a friend. They are no longer suspects.
