Two men arrested for Hoogveen shooting incident

The Hague – The police arrested two men on Friday, January 12, who are suspected of being involved in a shooting incident at Hoogveen. This shooting incident, in which shots were fired at a home, took place on Monday, December 25. No one was injured in this shooting incident.

On that particular Monday, the police received a report around 11 a.m. that a hole had been found in the front window of a house on Hoogveen. Investigation revealed that the house had been shot several times.

Two men arrested
The police launched an extensive investigation. The two suspects arrested on Friday morning, January 12, were identified in that investigation. A 60-year-old man was arrested in Voorburg and a 44-year-old resident from The Hague in Utrecht.

The two men are currently in custody and will be heard later. The suspects are under restrictions, which means that they are only allowed to have contact with their lawyer. The two suspects will be brought before an examining magistrate on Monday, January 15.
