Two people were injured in a shooting in the Poelestraat in Groningen on Wednesday night around 2:55 am. The police are looking for at least one suspect, who ran away after the incident.
The shooting took place near the Grote Markt in the center of the city. Shots were fired several times. One of the victims was reportedly taken to hospital with serious injuries. According to sources, the other victim was also transported to hospital after treatment on the street. The condition of both victims is unknown. There was a lot of party crowd on the streets.

The area surrounding the shooting has been cordoned off for investigation. The police speak to witnesses and check whether there are camera images. Nothing is known about a description of the suspect and a motive for the shooting.
