Two explosions took place on Slotlaan in Zeist on Sunday night. According to the police, these were caused by heavy fireworks. No one was hurt.
The explosions took place around 3:45 am and 4:45 am at café de Heren van Zeist. According to RTV Utrecht, staff from the cafe were said to have been present at the time of the explosions.
There would be minor damage. An employee of the catering facility tells the city broadcaster that the café will open again today. Nothing is known about a reason for the explosion. No arrests have been made yet.
