Two explosions in a short time on Van Suchtelen van de Haarestraat: who knows more?

On the night of Wednesday 6 to Thursday 7 February, residents in Osdorp were startled for the first time by an explosion on the Van Suchtelen van de Haarestraat. Around 3:10 am, an unknown man detonated an explosive in the porch of a house and then fled. The explosion caused a fire at the front door, but fortunately the fire was extinguished quickly. Despite the fact that there were people in the home, no injuries were reported. The police are investigating who is responsible for the explosion and why. Information from the suspect – dressed completely in black during the incident and who fled towards Jan Celestraat – is very welcome by the investigation team. This also applies to all other information about and/or camera images of the business.

The police would also like to speak to people who know more about the second explosion at the same house on Van Suchtelen van de Haarestraat. This explosion took place on Sunday evening, February 10, around 11:25 p.m. Once again, a brief fire broke out, but no one was injured. Little is known about the suspect(s), but based on the first information, it appears that someone ran away in the direction of Hoekenes after the explosion. The police are calling on possible witnesses to the explosion and/or people with relevant camera images to come forward.
