Oud-Gastel – Agents have confiscated the driving licenses of two drivers after a traffic dispute that got out of hand. The men got into a fight with each other on the A17 near Oud-Gastel at the end of the afternoon on Thursday 1 June.

When the officers arrived on the scene, the two drivers and their cars had meanwhile come to a halt on the Roosendaalsebaan. One of the drivers, a 33-year-old from Rotterdam, turned out to be injured because he may have been hit by the driver of the other car, a 28-year-old man from Kortgene. According to witnesses, there would have been a traffic dispute on the highway shortly before that ended at the Roosendaalsebaan. The Rotterdammer was taken to hospital and both men’s driver’s licenses have been confiscated. Because the Rotterdammer drove a rental car, but he did not have the correct papers, this car was seized. The man from Kortgene will be heard as a suspect at the police station at a later time. The police are continuing to investigate the case.
