Two arrests in deadly Oss shooting

The police say they arrested two men from Oss on Wednesday morning who are suspected of involvement in the fatal shooting incident on 14 April at the Leeuwerikhof in Oss. A 23-year-old Ossenaar who was riding a scooter was killed in that shooting.

New arrests

The two new suspects were arrested in Eindhoven around 09:00 on Wednesday morning. They are men of 22 and 26 years old, both from Oss. They are suspected of involvement in the fatal shooting incident. Their exact role is now under further investigation. Both suspects are in restrictions, which means that they can only have contact with their lawyer.

No prime suspects

Two suspects have previously been arrested, but these men are not the main suspects. These suspects are no longer in pre-trial detention.

The police previously also seized cars in Enschede and Oss, because they may have been involved in the incident.

Police emphasize that the investigation is still ongoing. Therefore, the police do not want to reveal any further details at this time. According to the police, there are still witnesses who were present at the Leeuwerikhof on the afternoon in question and who have not yet spoken to the police.

In July it seemed that it is not yet calm in Oss and that there is a conflict slumbering between different groups of young people.
