Two arrests after shooting at Breda caravan camp

The police arrested two men on Thursday evening after reports of a shooting at a caravan camp on Edisonstraat in Breda. No one was injured.

On Thursday at 8.15 pm, several reports were received that shots were being fired at the caravan camp on Edisonstraat. Several police units arrived on the scene, but because it was quiet at the camp upon arrival and no one was to be seen, a criminal investigation was started. This investigation revealed the identity of one of the suspects, a resident of the camp.

Raid

At 11:15 p.m., an arrest team from the Special Interventions Service (DSI) entered one of the homes. Two men were arrested there, the resident and a 60-year-old man from Breda. A firearm, drugs and a quantity of money were found and seized in the home. The police do not say exactly what kind of drugs and how much was found.

The police are continuing the investigation. The suspects will be interrogated on Friday.
