Rotterdam – One person was injured in an explosion in a house on the Hanespoordoorn in Rotterdam on September 2. Two people, including the injured, have been arrested.
The explosion occurred around 5:30 p.m. and resulted in several broken windows and a deformed wall of the house. And there was no further fire. A 45-year-old man from Rotterdam who was present in the house suffered burns and had to be taken to hospital. He was approachable and was arrested after his medical treatment. A 43-year-old woman from Rotterdam was also arrested at the house. Because it was not clear whether there were possibly more people in the house, an arrest team searched the house, but there was no one else present.
Research
The police are investigating what exactly happened in the house. A technical defect in a heating boiler, for example, seems to be out of the question. A scenario where something went wrong in the manufacture or processing of drugs is being investigated. Both suspects are in custody.
