Tulip named after DJ Hardwell: ‘Great honor!’

DJ Hardwell (real name Robbert van de Corput) was recently presented with his own new tulip, personally selected by him, from the Dutch cut tulip growers (TPN). The Tulpia Hardwell has a red flower with a bright yellow edge and a sturdy stem with sleek green leaves. A striking feature of the spring bloomer is the fringed edge of the petals. DJ Hardwell considers it a great honor that a tulip has been named after him, he says. “The flower is inextricably linked to our country and symbolizes cheerfulness, positive energy and connection. In addition, the tulip has the natural ability to move in the vase. That is a wonderful match with my shows and music where I want to convey positive energy on the dance floor. I hope that the new Hardwell tulip will remind you of the connecting power of music and unforgettable moments on the dance floor.”
