True Detective: Night Country the 4th season is an absolute must-see

We have now arrived at the fourth season of True Detective. It is the first season to have a subtitle: Night Country. Set in the fictional town of Ennis, Alaska, the season follows the investigation into the disappearance of eight men from a research station. True Detective Night Country, streaming on HBO Max, stars Jodie Foster and Kali Reis as detectives Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro. Despite their love/hate relationship, they are allowed to fully immerse themselves in the haunted truths that are buried under the eternal ice in Alaska.

In terms of atmosphere and story, the series comes close to the first successful season with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. After watching the first 3 episodes you can only conclude that this ‘True Detective Night Country’ is an absolute must-see.

True Detective: Night Country

The new season of True Detective: Night Country is the first season of the HBO anthology series not created by Nic Pizzolatto. Night Country is written by Issa López, who broke through with the film “Tigers Are Not Afraid” (2017). Pizzolatto is still executive producer but has nothing to do with the story and the series.

The series scores highly on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 93%. The audience’s score is somewhat lower. It is clear that the presence of Jodie Foster takes the series to a higher level. Kali Reis, a former world boxing champion, also receives many compliments.

What remains is that most of life’s mysteries, even when they are supposed to be solved, leave you with too many unanswered questions. To look!
