Traffic accident with fatal outcome

Haelen – A traffic accident occurred on the Roggelseweg in Haelen on Thursday, February 8. A 33-year-old woman from Haelen died as a result.

At around 2:20 p.m., the emergency services were alerted to the accident, which involved a passenger car in a collision with a cyclist. The driver of the bicycle was taken by ambulance to hospital where she later died of her injuries. The driver of the car, a 25-year-old woman from Haelen, has been arrested.

The area surrounding the accident was cordoned off for some time to allow police specialists to investigate. This includes examining the tracks on the road, the condition of the vehicles involved, and securing any camera images from the area.
