Timmer: ‘PSV wants to keep him, but you are talking about amounts above ten million’

If PSV wants to take over Jarrad Branthwaite from Everton, it will have to put “amounts in excess of ten million euros” on the table. That says clubwatcher Marco Timmer.

PSV is renting Branthwaite from Everton this season. In recent months, the Englishman has become a permanent fixture and important force in the team of trainer Ruud van Nistelrooij. However, PSV does not have an option to buy, which means that Branthwaite will in principle return to England after this season.

In the Skiete Willy Podcast of Voetbal International, Timmer provides information about the state of affairs. “PSV has already tried to buy Branthwaite a few times. They will still try to keep that boy, but that will not be easy. You are talking about amounts of more than ten million euros.”

It is not easy for PSV to put such amounts on the table, Timmer explains. “It is a lot for PSV. Especially when you get out of the position where you say you have to take a step back.”
