A hand grenade was found against the door of a residential complex on Rinus Michelslaan in Amsterdam-West on Monday morning. The explosive was attached to the door with zip ties. The word “Tik tok” is sprayed with graffiti on the entrance to the building with an arrow pointing to the place where the hand grenade was located.

The police and the Defense Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service (EOD) arrived on site to secure the object. The street in the Bos en Lommer district was temporarily cordoned off with red and white ribbons.
Nothing is yet known about a perpetrator or perpetrators or a reason for the hand grenade. It is still unclear whether the explosive is real and was armed.
