Breda – The police have arrested three men because they allegedly assaulted another man on the street. This happened in the night of Saturday March 11 to Sunday March 12 around 00.30 am at the Prinsenkade in Breda. A man was also arrested because he misbehaved, abused officers and ran off. The electric shock weapon was used for this.
Around half past one in the morning, a 25-year-old man from Oosterhout walked across the Hoge Brug in Breda. The two women he was with were berated by three men. When he said something about this, the men started to beat and kick him. Officers were quickly on the scene, but could not prevent the boy from being injured. He was taken to hospital. The suspects, two of whom come from Eindhoven and one from Deurne, are all 22 years old. They’re stuck.

A little earlier, around 00.30 am, officers confronted a difficult 36-year-old man from Breda about his behavior. He had been annoying and aggressive in two catering establishments on the Haven, where he had also been evicted a number of times. Officers gave the man a 12-hour ban that prevented him from entering the city center for the time being and asked him to go home. The man became aggressive, took on a threatening attitude and started cursing at the officers. When she wanted to arrest him, he started to run and the stun gun was deployed. The suspect has been transferred to the cell complex.
