Three men try to swindle a victim but are caught red-handed

Rucphen – The police have arrested three men for bank help desk fraud. They pretended to be employees of a bank. For example, she tried to steal his debit card from a man from Rucphen. Fortunately, this man realized what was happening and immediately called the police. Thus, the suspects could be caught red-handed. A substantial amount of money and more debit cards were found in their car.

A somewhat older man from Rucphen received a phone call from someone posing as a bank employee at the end of the afternoon on Wednesday, March 22. The ‘bank employee’ had a remarkable story about a cyber attack and dirty money. He asked the victim to transfer money and he would send someone to pick up his debit card. The victim did not trust it and called 112. Agents immediately drove to Rucphen.

After an hour of waiting, the suspect did indeed arrive at the Van Der Zijpedreef. After the debit card was handed over, the 18-year-old man was immediately arrested. Around the corner there was a car with two more men in it. They had dropped the other off and were waiting for him. They too were arrested. It concerns an 18-year-old and 19-year-old man. There was a lot of cash and several bank cards in the car. All three suspects are from Eindhoven, they are in custody.
