Moerdijk – The seaport police arrested three suspects this week in an investigation into a cargo theft on the port site in Moerdijk.
In September 2023, a large batch of stolen crates and trampolines were found in a warehouse on the port site in Moerdijk. The Seaport Police started an investigation. The trampolines turned out to be stolen in Boxtel. Swimming pool covers and tents were also taken from there. These stolen goods were found in a truck in Dordrecht. This is how the investigation team arrived at the three suspects. They were arrested on Monday, January 22, 2023 in Dordrecht on suspicion of stealing. These are three men aged 25, 33 and 33 from Dordrecht. One of the men is also suspected of theft of a sea container with SUP boards from the port site in Moerdijk. Officers searched several places and seized a car, a quad bike and cash, among other things. The suspects were released after questioning. They will have to answer to the judge later.
