Three men arrested after robbery in Farmsum

Farmsum – A seriously injured victim managed to tell before he was taken to hospital that he had just been attacked and assaulted by three men. This happened on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 around 4:35 p.m. in Farmsum. At the beginning of the evening, officers arrested three suspects, with the help of observant local residents. The trio is detained and being heard.

Hit in the head

At the end of the afternoon, agents received a report of a robbery at the Oosterhorn in Farmsum. In doing so, a person would have been mistreated. Emergency services at the scene found a seriously injured victim. Fortunately, the man was still approachable and was able to tell officers that three men who were after his money had walked onto his property and suddenly attacked him. One of them had hit the victim on the head with an object.

Three suspects arrested

The police immediately started an investigation and searched the area for the suspects. Officers received help from observant local residents, who had read the description of the suspects via Burgernet and social media. At the beginning of the evening, officers were able to arrest three suspects. It concerns a 21-year-old man from Assen, a 22-year-old man from Delfzijl and an 18-year-old man from Delfzijl. All three are suspected of involvement in this robbery. Further investigation should reveal what role each suspect played in this robbery.
