Three Eindhoven residents arrested in two drug investigations

In an investigation into soft drug trafficking, the police searched two homes on Halvemaanstraat in Eindhoven on Wednesday. According to the police, ‘large quantities of soft drugs (including hash blocks and cannabis buds) and large amounts of cash’ were seized. Two Eindhoven residents aged 43 and 32 have been arrested as suspects.

Both men are in custody for further investigation and the car of one of them has been seized. The police do not say how many soft drugs and cash are involved.

Encrochat

In another standalone investigation, a 41-year-old man from Eindhoven emerged as a suspect. He is suspected of trafficking in various types of hard drugs and firearms, among other things. In examined data from decrypted Encrochat messages from 2020, various conversations between the 41-year-old suspect and other people were examined. The conversations were about drugs and weapons.

The suspect was arrested in Eindhoven on Wednesday. He is being held at the police station for questioning and investigation. The police are conducting further investigation.
