The police have arrested three men in Heerlen on suspicion of involvement in a shooting in that city on Saturday, December 30, 2023. A man was injured in the shooting incident.
Bullet wound
The incident took place at around 1:15 am in a parking lot on Vincent van Goghstraat. The injured victim managed to flee in a car shortly after the incident and then reported to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
Dark-colored station wagon
The police last week called witnesses who may have seen a dark-colored station wagon in the vicinity of the crime scene at the time of the incident.
The investigation into the case led to the suspects now arrested: two 18-year-old men and a 21-year-old man. All three of them live in Heerlen.
There is no information yet about what led to the shooting.
