Sneek – The police made three arrests during the night of Tuesday 12 to Wednesday 13 March after a stabbing incident in the city center of Sneek. Two 18-year-old men from Sneek were injured. The investigation into the circumstances of the stabbing incident is ongoing.

On Tuesday, March 12, the police received a report of a stabbing incident in the center of Sneek, where a fair is currently taking place. We found two victims in the area of ​​the Oud Kerkhof. These two 18-year-old men from Sneek were taken to hospital with injuries. We assume that they were injured as a result of the stabbing incident.

We have started an investigation in the area of ​​the Oud Kerkhof. Officers spoke with those involved and possible witnesses. That information led to the arrest of three suspects. Just after midnight we arrested a 19-year-old man from Leeuwarden in a vehicle on the Lemmerweg. A few hours later, a 21-year-old man and an underage boy from Sneek were arrested elsewhere in Sneek. They have been taken to the police station and will be interrogated.
