The police arrested three men from Ossendrecht (North Brabant) on Sunday evening on suspicion of involvement in a serious assault at the Vogelenzang. A 35-year-old man from Ossendrecht was found seriously injured on the street. He has been taken to hospital.
Iron pipe
Officers responded around 9:20 PM to a report of a serious fight in which someone was allegedly hit with an iron pipe. The victim was found on the Vogelenzang with the help of bystanders. The 35-year-old man sat on the street with a completely bloodied body. He was then taken to hospital and reported the incident.
Arrests
The police then arrested three men who matched the description of the perpetrators at Moleneind, a little further away. These are two 23-year-old men and a 40-year-old man. They have been taken to the police station and are being held for further investigation.
Nothing is yet known about a motive for the serious assault.
