Schiedam – An explosion occurred at a catering establishment Het Paleis on the De Brauwweg in Schiedam on September 7. This is the third time in a few months that the banquet hall complex has been hit. No one was injured, but the damage and fear is great. The explosion took place around 5:15 am.

Arrest
In the investigation into the second explosion of August 18, the police arrested a 21-year-old man from Rotterdam on September 4 for his involvement in this incident. The explosion went off at the back of the conference center and caused a broken window. Immediately after the explosion, the investigation was started and traces were secured by forensic investigation.
In custody
More than two weeks later, a 21-year-old man from Rotterdam was arrested. He was produced before the examining magistrate on September 7, who remanded him in custody for 14 days. Police continue to investigate all three explosions.
