What are you going to do
We are looking for a technical application manager (36 hours pw) for the ICT department of the Shared Service Center (SSC) at the municipality of Leeuwarden.

As a technical application manager, no day is the same. Together with a group of 4 enthusiastic colleagues, you ensure that we can offer a reliable, robust environment to our approximately 3,500 end users every day. With your knowledge you ensure that we can allow our colleagues at the SSC and those of the affiliated organizations to do their work properly.

As a technical application manager, you are in charge of the application and you are responsible for updating the application and you are the point of contact for ICT, suppliers and functional management for both Leeuwarden and the partners. (and basic applications) for our end users from both the municipality of Leeuwarden and the partners of the SSC. Naturally, how the work will be divided will be determined together with colleagues in the department.
The activities consist of

  • Preparing, implementing or supervising changes in the application landscape;
  • Managing and installing certificates for the operation of the application;
  • Offering applications in the workplace;
  • Grant secure access to suppliers on application servers;
  • Quality assurance of the available technical documentation.

What are you taking with you? In addition to enjoying your work:

  • A completed education at HBO level or HBO working and thinking level;
  • At least 3 years of experience in the field of technical management of critical business applications;
  • Knowledge of and experience with municipal applications is an advantage;
  • Several years of experience with Microsoft Windows server (2016, 2019);
  • Experience with PKI certificates, SAAS connections;
  • Experience with Topdesk and Ivanti products;

In a dynamic and sometimes hectic environment, you can switch quickly and maintain focus, while simultaneously providing colleagues, users or suppliers with the necessary feedback. You have sufficient sense of responsibility to be able to maintain various contacts simultaneously and proactively. Active collaboration with your colleagues, users and the supplier challenges you. This gives you strong communication skills, such as being able to listen well, asking questions, defining boundaries, persuading and making clear agreements. However, this does not make you rigid in your approach. With your creativity you know that there are several roads that lead to Rome.

The SSC contributes to being a compact and facilitating government. A government that professionally organizes its business operations and services. The SSC provides the cooperation partners of the municipality of Leeuwarden with efficient and high-quality integrated services in the field of business operations.

The ICT department within the SSC is responsible for support, technical application management and management of the ICT infrastructure. You do this for the municipality of Leeuwarden and the partners of the SSC. Dynamics, a pleasant team and development in professionalism are the concepts for the environment you find yourself in.

What do we offer
We offer an annual contract, with the option to convert this into permanent employment after one year. We offer a salary, depending on education and experience, of a maximum of €4,752.00 (job scale 9, salary scale 1-1-2024 Collective Labor Agreement for Municipalities) gross per month for a 36-hour working week.
