Zevenbergen – Two 17-year-old boys from Zevenbergen reported to the police on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 through their lawyer because of the call in Bureau Brabant. On Monday, March 13, the investigation program showed ‘blurred’ images of two boys who were wanted for assault. The public prosecutor gave them one week to report to the police. They are being questioned today.

A 21-year-old man walks on Saturday, July 9, 2022 around 1:15 a.m. after a catering visit together with a housemate across the Zuidhaven. Two boys approach them. Without any reason, both boys hit the declarant several times in the chest and face. He lands on the ground and they kick him in the body. A 38-year-old man who wants to take a picture of the perpetrators is then assaulted by them himself. They hit him several times with clenched fists and on the face and forcefully push him against the window of a store.

Call
There are no images of the beatings themselves. However, the suspected perpetrators were later filmed during a supermarket visit. On Monday, March 13, we showed these images in the Bureau Brabant program on Omroep Brabant, but made them unrecognizable because they are probably minors. They were therefore given a week by the public prosecutor to report. If they do not do this, we will also show their faces in the next broadcast, it was said. However, this is not necessary because they reported through a lawyer on Wednesday, March 15, and will be interrogated today.
