The police arrested a 16-year-old boy from Almere and a 21-year-old man from Rotterdam on Monday in an investigation into several robberies in Almere. The suspects are currently in custody, but the police say they are still looking for several other suspects.
The two suspects arrested today are suspected of involvement in several robberies in Almere between September and December 2023. They will soon be interrogated about what role they played.
The detectives continue with the investigation. A number of other suspects of robberies in Almere are also being sought. Photos of this were shared on Monday.
Four robberies
This concerns a total of four robberies in both Almere Parkwijk and Almere Buiten. According to the police, the perpetrator group committed the robberies in varying compositions.
This concerns a robbery at the Primera on Haagbeukweg on September 15, 2023. A robbery at a telecom shop on Noordeindepad (on October 6), the suspects of which have now been arrested. In addition, it concerns a robbery at the Primera on the Noordeindepad on November 11 and a robbery of a cafeteria on the Rembrandtweg on December 2. A 15-year-old boy from Almere was arrested for the latter case.
